PulseCore Expands Senior Management Team

Names Michael Hogan CEO and Narendar “Buddy” Venugopal CTO

Campbell, Calif. - July 17, 2007 - PulseCore Semiconductor, the EMI experts, today announced the appointment of Michael Hogan as chief executive officer (CEO). Hogan will succeed founder and former CEO, Narendar “Buddy” Venugopal who will assume the role of chief technology officer (CTO) and vice president/general manager (VP/GM), focusing on defining PulseCore's technology roadmaps and the development of new products.

“It has been my honor to serve as PulseCore's leader and to foster the company's spirit of innovation,” said Buddy Venugopal. “I welcome Michael Hogan into the role of CEO, and believe that his extensive semiconductor industry experience and established track record of driving positive results will be invaluable to PulseCore's future.” With a broad knowledge of the IC business, proven leadership, strategy development, and execution for both established and start-up companies, Hogan's vast experience will enable PulseCore to expand its clock, power management, and EMI reduction product lines, and support its growing customer base.

PulseCore recently introduced the Timing SafeTM line of active EMI reduction ICs that can be dropped into system design with minimal upfront effort or redesign. This technology will introduce spread spectrum capability to a variety of new products, marking a pivotal time in the company's evolution.

Michael Hogan Biography
Hogan brings more than 20 years of front-line leadership experience in the communications systems ICs industry to PulseCore. Most recently, Hogan served as President, CEO, and Director at Sirific Wireless, a leading supplier of single-chip CMOS RF transceivers for 3.5G applications. While at Sirific, Hogan lead the company from a university spin out to an RF supplier to top-Tier 3G OEM's. Hogan also serves on the board of WiQuest Communications a leader in UWB chipset market.

Prior to Sirific, Hogan was General Manager at Texas Instruments, Wireless Networking Business Unit, managing over 150 employees and five R&D facilities worldwide. While at Texas Instruments, Hogan also served as general manager of the Broadband Services Unit, additionally he spent nearly ten years in the sales organization where he was responsible for the North American sales strategy for the Network Communication IC segment.

Hogan holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University.

Buddy Venugopal Biography
As founder and former CEO of PulseCore, Venugopal has more than 16 years of mixed-signal IC design, operations, marketing, and management experience. He founded PulseCore in 1998 and initially served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Mixed Signal business unit of Alliance Semiconductor, after PulseCore was acquired by Alliance. In 2006, Alliance divested itself of its semiconductor operations and its mixed signal business unit, was acquired by a group of investors, and reincorporated as PulseCore Semiconductor.

Venugopal holds graduate degrees in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India and the University of the California, San Diego in addition to Bachelor's degrees in physics and electronics.
